PSHE encompasses a statutory, whole school pursuit to educate our students on Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE); Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), Personal Development and Careers. Our PSHE Lead is Ms Nicole Hau.
In Key Stage 3, one lesson each week is devoted to a statutory learning programme on Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education. This also covers Relationships and Sex Education (RSE); and careers guidance.
In Key Stage 4 and 5, in addition to KS3 learning continuing at these progressive phases, students will develop their learning with a Personal Development programme of study.
Topics at the differing stages include (but not exhaustive) the following:
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Healthy relationships
- Personal finance
- Drugs and Alcohol education
- Rights and Responsibilities
- Diversity, Prejudice and Discrimination
- External influences; online and offline
The above is delivered via in house provision and additional learning opportunities are supplemented by external enrichment providers.
You can find a copy of the RSE Policy on our Policies and Procedures page here.
