INTRODUCING ACADEMY
At Academy, we provide a tailored food service specifically designed for the education sector. We are proud to serve fresh, healthy, and delicious meals to pupils of all age groups across the country. We are dedicated to delivering a real focus on healthy eating and sustainability, whilst providing a quality service for the children at Fairfax.
FOOD PROVENANCE
Food provenance is incredibly important to us at Academy, and we are committed using the best produce available, with a focus on seasonally sourced ingredients. All suppliers, including those local to Fairfax are carefully vetted and audited, and can demonstrate a clear provenance path form field to fork.

Our Chef Development and Nutrition teams create modern and exciting menus which are served by skilled, caring professionals.
We pride ourselves in delivering catering solutions in line with School Food Standards and making a difference to young customers in primary, secondary & further education throughout the UK, whilst delivering sustainable value.
A brief overview of the food offers available at each service is ~
Breakfast Club 8.00am – 8.25am
Hot bacon and sausage sandwiches, toast, toasted bagels, croissants, cereals
Morning break 11.00am – 11.25am
Pizza, hot filled rolls and wraps, pastries, cheese on toast,
Lunch 13.25pm – 14.00pm
Main station, Pasta & Bar, Jacket Potato Bar, Greens & Grains, and Theme of the Day
A Sixth Form service is available during periods 1 to 4 in The Refectory.
We operate a cashless dining facility at Fairfax through the use of Parent Pay.
The advantage of Parent Pay far outweighs the use of cash and is a safe and convenient online payment system for adding cash to pupils’ accounts. Our catering administration has recently been improved with the introduction of software on Parent Pay allowing you to view both your account statement and payment history and is proving to be very helpful and interesting!
OUR TEAM
The team at Fairfax are led by Belinda Smith, Catering Manager. They work to a three-week menu cycle and provide a range of hot and chilled meals including deli offers, grab and go products, theme and concepts events throughout the study week.
